Fitbit’s Charge 4 leak brings the same old design - Buy or Not

Fitbit did not launch a successor to its 2018 Charge 3 fitness tracker. If new leaks are to be believed, Charge 4 is just around the corner. Thanks to 9to5 Google’s leaks, we now know that the Charge 4 is in works but don’t expect much on the design front: it’s same as the Charge 3.

I wouldn’t complain about it taking into consideration that the Charge 3’s design was a major overhaul for the series. The silver lining in all of this is that if Charge 3 owners decide to buy the yet unofficial product in the future, they will still be able to use their old bands with the new model. Moreover, reviews called Charge 3 one of the well-designed trackers.
It isn’t clear as to what features would Fitbit include in the upcoming fitness tracker. An FCC listing doesn’t indicate the presence of an onboard GPS on the Charge 4 – a feature that the Charge 3 lacked as well. But, it does suggest that the watchmaker might make NFC a standard feature, which in the past, were only limited to the Special Edition models. Rumors suggest that very much like the Versa 2, Fitbit might include an Always On Display
“We appreciate the interest and excitement around our products. We are constantly working on new health and fitness devices to help people live healthier lives. We don’t have news to share at this time, but you’ll be amongst the first to know when we do,” Fitbit gave a statement when asked about the Charge 4 fitness tracker.
The statement may lead many to believe that there’s a formal announcement on the cards, very soon.
